View Full Version : Bringing parts for sale to the Shootout....

nickleman60

I figured I start a thread on bringing parts that people want, especially bigger items, to the Shootout for pickup.

I have a damaged 94/95 cowl hood with hood pin holes that could be repaired by someone who does the stuff. I have a new one on order and I could bring this to the Shootout. I figure $100 is a good price to let it go so first come first serve.

Damage caused by not having hood pins locked and it flew up at the dragstrip.......:o

Hinge mount areas - 1 ripped out & 1 cracked
Lift rod mount areas - both are cracked
Damage at both top rear corners of raised cowl
Rear drivers side rear corner of hood has the very corner, 1/2" damaged

HOOD IS SOLD

This i/c is brand new, it's 31"x12"x4" with 3" inlet/oulet. When I recieved it I noticed that 1 tube on it was not straight so I complained to the company and they sent me another one but told me to keep this one. I now have 2 and don't need this one. Other than the bent tube that you see visually there's nothing wrong with it and it'll function just fine, Price is $125.00

As of right now, I'm not replacing it with anything. I'm selling it all and if someone doesn't buy me out of the chassis maybe in a few years I'll rebuild. But for now it's worth it more for me to sell the entire car as a whole or parts then it is to keep it around.

As long as it works, ill take it. I put all new cables on, and now the brakes work, but just barely hold. The handle goes all the way up, so Im assuming it needs adjusted. My adjuster looks like it came off the titanic. I think If I try to turn it, it will just turn to dust.

I will be bringing a few parts to the shootout to sell.

FSR 3.5" alum drive shaft for a 5-speed. $200.00

Spec alum flywheel that needs to have the friction surface replaced. I talked to Spec and they said it is $79 for the friction surface and said it takes about 5 min to replace. This is for the 11" clutch. $125.00

I will also have a B&M Ripper shifter that I will be bringing. The boot is missing but it worked great. &125.00

I also have a N2MB WOT box that has never been installed. $100.00

I also have an old Dr. Fred 520 cam that I could bring also if anybody is interested.

I would rather sell the drive shaft and flywheel at the shootout than shipping it.

One of them, the switch part was completely broken off of the part that threads into the block, but it didn't appear to leak.

The other on has such a rusted body that I'm not sure if it is worth putting on.

I'm planning on asking Dan if he can TIG the pinhole orifice closed on the broken one, and then use that to just plug the hole for now.
