Compatability Confirmation

Hey folks,, looong time lurker here.

I have owned a 90 SC for a few years now. It needs to get back on the road - NOW !!

I have an oppurtunity to buy another 'donor car' for my ride. I just need to double check on compatability.

Take it easy on me.

Will the engine and (manual) trany be identical ?
My car 1990 SC - 3.8L and M5R2 tranny
perspective donor - 1993 SC

Are there any running changes here I should be aware of ? I would also like to know about the bodys.
Will the exterior mirrors, front air dam, trunk weatherstripping etc,,, be identical?

They appear the same to me.
Perhaps I should be asking - are there any diferences?
 
Pretty much all will swap. Get the fuel tank from the 93 and put in yours as well. There are interior trim differences and exterior minor differences. As far as the engine and tranny all will swap over, but some of the wiring harness have different colored wires and some small changes, but nothing that will stop operation.

I am about to rent a trailer and drive North for 12 hours. Seems like a long way to go to buy the wrong car.

Different conf. leaves room for a straighter/larger exhaust, or at least better routing. Better exhaust is always a good perf. improvment in these cars
