Hey guys and gals,

Here are some pics I just posted of the new car. Just got her on Tuesday shipped in from Michigan. Put new belts on flushed radiator and drove away. The car was sitting covered in his garage for the past 10 years and he only put about 3K miles on it. He would start it about once a month or so. He just ran out of room in his garage. Everything works on the car including the speedo, boost gauge, auto lights, moonroof, windows, door locks, etc... it does have some surface scratches on the trunk and some small chips on the hood, but that's about it. Runs and drives like brand new, AC is freezing cold. He replaced the motor mounts and suspension all the way around about 5 years ago so it handles perfectly.

Cheers !

Here are some more pics of the engine and interior. The engine compartment was pretty clean, but I went ahead and detailed it anyway. There is a small slice in the rear seat which doesn't show in the pics because it is so small. Carpet is in good serviceable condition with no rips. Front seats are in excellent condition but do show wear with cracking in both seating areas of both driver and pass seats. Dash is in perfect condition with no cracks, tears or slices. Speedo face and bezel are also in perfect "like new" condition. All gauges work as they should.

Console is in very good condition as is the shifter handle, steering wheel, and trunk release. The fuel door button appears to be jammed in the down position and does not operate at this time. I'm guessing I'll have to remove the console to get in to repair it.

This car is as "stock" as they come. My wife wants to put a wing on the back like her '97 bird had. Jury is still out on that one.

Cheers !

That SC is sick!!!!

OK, now I'm jealous LOL J/K :D

Sounds to me like we should have a local meet soon

Maybe a weekday, and make it dinner and shoot some bull.

Yes, a local meet would be good. I am surprised that there are not local chapters of the SC club here in So Cal. I am a member of several car clubs throughout Riverside and San Bernardino Counties.

Well the So-Cal chapter used to be a happening chapter some years ago. We used to have a consistent crew. We even had a Nor-Cal VS. So-Cal 1/4 mile in Bakersfield. As time passed people started trading their SCs for newer cars and so on. From time to time I see them post but that is as far as it goes.

I personally would like to bring this chapter back to life but its hard to call it a meet if I am the only going hanging out somewhere LOL

Right now the few SCs that we have in the club are scattered all over the place. I am sure everyone would like a meet, but the hard part would be for everyone to agree where to meet up.

We could start a new thread and see who could commit, just like the Knotts meet in April next year.

Maybe even look for a car show that may already be scheduled somewhere and we can all meet at that show. I am in Palm Springs so we could go towards Riverside or San Bernardino or even Orange County for a car show.

In the next couple of months it will be cool enough here. We have a monthly cruise night at the Spa Casino in Palm Springs. It is open to all cars, trucks, M/C and the like. It costs $5 to enter your car and spectators are free. We usually have about 150 cars that attend each month. I believe we start The First Saturday in October 6th 2012, from 4 PM - 8:00 PM
