Freeze plug

Anyone done a freeze plug, passenger side, in the car before. I know I have not. Replaced my share, but never in a Mn12. Thoughts??

Depends which one. The rear one isn't too bad but the rest are pretty much impossible. Best bet is to get a repair plug. They are held in the same way as a block heater is held in place - they use a rubber o-ring and then an expanding anchor type screw thing to draw them up tight.

One of them is behind the motor mount, so that would have to come out if it's that one.

Thanks Dave. I planned on using the one with the o-ring that you tighten up from the center. They work really well. 96-97 Taurus's had a recall for flushing the block and you had to bust out all of the freeze plugs. The ones you described are like the ones we replaced them with in the kit. Never had one come back leaking. Guess I will just Support the engine and lower the engine subframe/k-member. Im doing them all while im there though...
