hello my 89 S/C has a problem when I'm driving down the road does not matter how fast it's going sometimes the tach drops down to zero and the engine starts to cut out and stalls then it comes right back to life at first I thought I had a transmission problem because it did it so fast that it seemed like it was losing a gear but when I notice the tach dropping to zero I knew it was an engine issue. any help were I should start to try and locate the problem.

Thanks. FORD FOREVER

No, you can change it without taking the balancer off. Make sure you line it up in the space on the balancer though, so it comes off easily.

Second....check your hot wire on your starter ;) It just *may* be loose. Also check your grounds, body ground and engine ground.

DIS module is often the culprit.

Advance Auto used to have a lifetime warranty on theirs....if you have the car for awhile, you will probably have it poop out on you sooner or later.
