I've been taking the car to the track now for a couple months and I have been working out some issues with power steering, alternator, fuel, clutch, exhaust etc. So tonight I finally got a couple runs in. the first went pretty good.

5.179 330
8.072 1/8 @86.47
10.498 1000 ft
12.559 1/4@110.47

I had my stereo in the car to add extra weight as I really was not certain what to expect. I removed the seats and stereo approx 400lbs and lined up again. There were tons of breakdowns tonight so we had to wait 3.5 hours after two major breakdowns.

Second run I spun the tires a bit to long in the water box and as i exited the tires grabbed and the clutch slipped. I launched at a slightly lower rpm and the clutch slipped so I just drove it gently down the track to a 13.788. seems my clutch stays engaged slightly even with the clutch pedal depressed so I will have to do some repairs before I race again.

I knew there were issues with the clutch but did not address them as I should have but it is a new personnal best with me driving. DD made the pass last year with the 12.26.

I am at 2400 ft above sea level so I am pretty happy with the results

I forgot to mention I finally beat David's time from the shootout from last year. Mind you it has more power too.

Excellent results John. We will miss seeing you (and the car) at the Shoot Out this year. But it's coming along nicely now. Keep on keep'n on.
