I'm purchasing a 1990 auto with 78k original miles this coming sat! Trying to find out what basic mods would help me out......any suggestions? Looking to lower the car, install some svt wheels, maybe some pulleys!
Looking for some helpful advice! Thanks in advance

Well I can give you 2 good ones...

1) Open the exhaust up, mainly ditch the stock resonator if you don't have money to do a whole system.

2) Best mod I ever did to my wife's '90 was a Lentech valve body. It's amazing how much better the AOD feels with just that done!

I'll let others chime in on plenty other things you can/should do.

Enjoy the car! They are so much fun! I love mine like the day I bought it 13 years ago!

one of the first mods i did to my 93 sc was upgrade to 3.73 gears. make these cars feel 500 lbs lighter . definately should do the exhaust first

I love these cars but I have one piece of sound advice. If you are not overly mechanically inclined save your money. There are two kinds of SC's. Ones that have blown head gaskets and ones that will.

Thx so far all! I have grown up my entire life rebuilding motors and have always done all my own mechanical work! I am hoping to pick the car up this weekend. I bought a set of svt wheels off a sho guy today, I will def lower it, tint window, cold air intake and alum ic piping for now....maybe a 5% pulley down the road!
