It's been a tough week....

Last monday, I sold the Blazer.
Tuesday, My doctor says I need to not work on things.
Then, the SVT-F's fuel pump went out.
... And I got rained on PUSHING it off of the side of the road.
Wednesday, Randi wrecked the GTP.

As you know, the Cougar and the Z car are in pieces... and the DSM... is... Well... a DSM.

Stuck driving the Miata. I am sure as hell glad to have a hard top, now....

We had until Sunday night to get Randi a new car...

Looked at probably 40 before we found her something...

2002 Mazda Tribute ES/V6 AWD... 150k miles. $2900

The Mazda drove nice, smooth, and straight. Everything worked, so we took her home.

The next morning, we found out that the first 1-2 shift of the day is delayed, throwing a transmission code (Which is, much to my aggrivation, not stored).

I have a new valve body and TransGo shift kit on order for the Tribute... Hopefully they will get here before Friday so we can swap over the weekend. One of the problems with these transmissions is "Limp Mode" throws the line pressure up to ~300psi, breaking hard parts in the transmission.

Yay.

This is eating up a lot of my time, and I'm going to have to settle for a middle of the road solution for the cougar. No cam and intake this season.

It's the same as the Escape. As far as I remember the 1st gen Escape wasn't known for transmission problems so hopefully it's an easy fix for you. Good luck!
