Ok, last chance coming up for some drag racing in the end of this month. We need a couple more supercoupes to represent. I plan to be out there with both cars. Rpm transmission in Muncie rents Muncie dragway each year for some test and tune. Anyone else that wants to come out would be cool. It's during the day, usually starts around 10 am. Donations are appreciated to help keep it going annually. You can get as many runs in as you feel like doing usually. I'll be working on my launches. There will be lots of vette and who knows what else.

Had a good time running the car today, did a personal best and I know the car has a lot more in it, unfortunately I believe I found the limit of the stock clutch.

As my launches improved, so did my et. My fastest of the day.

R/t. .200
60' 1.908
330 5.353
1/8 8.160
Mph 86.58
1000 10.600
1/4 12.634
Mph 111.92

The next run after this one would have been faster but the clutch must have been slipping on acceleration because when I hit 3rd gear I smoked it pretty bad. I did a 1.88 60' on that run. All in all it was a good day, nothing broke. Sarah matched her 13.3 best run from the shoot out a few times. It wasn't the best weather for racing, and we had a 10-15 mph head wind but I was happy with our results, and its nice to know I probably have at least a low 12 second car.

Spec Stage II or Stage III are a awesome clutch!

I'm thinking t-56 transmission and whatever clutch John went with sounds pretty good. I hated the specII in this car, the pedal was like a rock and was on/off. if I keep using this transmission I will try a centerforce clutch and see how it does.

Was it a stage II or II+ ? The 2+ is deffinatly an off deal but I have a 2 in both my stangs
And its not too bad at all. I am running aftermarket quadrants so I don't know how one woulld be with a hydraulic system.

It was the clutch that scp sells. My buddy has a 93 stang with a spec clutch and it was not too bad that I can remember, but the one for the t-bird I'm not a fan of. It was worth it to me to put a stock one back in than to drive it with the spec.
