To muffle or not, that is the question

I have the true dual exhaust from SCP, magnaflow resonator, no cats. I'm just not sure I'm happy with the sound and am considering pulling the mufflers and just extending the exhaust. Would this sound ok, or would I just be making the car sound like crap?

I suppose it really depends on what YOU want, I've had enough of loud raspy exhausts. I like the Mustang take off chambered mufflers but they do muffle a lot! So if quiet is not what you want, and you like rasp (no cats)...

... if you want to increase the highway drone remove the magnaflow resonator and put a simple splitter in there.

What don't you like about your existing system?

I am not sure yet. The car kinda sounds like when you press your lips together and blow. Was hoping for a little more throaty sound.
 
Throaty won't happen unless you do muffler in place of resonator and turn downs right after but I had to use ear plugs when I ran that setup
