I have an 89 sc and have installed a new engine with extensive performance work done. New plenum, headers, cam, supercharger, intercooler kit, chip.... Upon initial start up it acts like it wants to start but wont... almost like it has a timing issue... Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

Make sure you have your grounds in order and the safety neutral switch is plugged in. Also, make sure you adjusted the cam sensor correctly to aid in easy start (will start without this being correct) and have good compression\gas\spark.

Also, might want to look at the ignition switch (not the lock cylinder)

Good luck

If it sounds like a timing issue, it most likely is. Look up cam sensor timing on here and read the posts. There are several explaining the proper procedure. Also look up firing order, because most service books have the wrong firing order listed. Verify cam sensor timing and firing order as these are the most common issues.
