Kevin,

Congrats ! After seeing that broken block I thought you would be off the track until spring. BTW, You need to make the video public...it's currently set as private.

Was this with the new rotor packs?

What were the upgrades from the last best runs.

Great times, Maybe if you keep at it 9s will happen on the MPX.

Same old setup. Figured out that my msd has been bad for 3 years. Thats why it has been killing blocks and cranks. And why its been running slower. I hope to get new rotors and case before end of year

Dave, i cant find a way to take it off private. Is anybody else having issues

Three weeks ago after i knocked off the crank sensor in my garage. I discovered the crank pulley wobbling bad. I been busy so i haven't even posted pics up here but on Facebook i was posting pics. But we discovered the msd was mixing up the cylinders.

MSD just has those issues with anything that isn't digital, it seems. I know plenty of people that have ran a whole season three tenths slow because of a bad MSD box.

All the more reason to go standalone!

You are totally going to hit a high 9 in the near future before the new combo. That is awesome.

That thing leaves like a rocket.

Kevin had people coming up to him all day long blowing sunshine up his a$$ who couldn't believe that car was so quick.

Pretty certain I heard "does it have a turbo" at least 5 times.

Great accomplishment and doing it your own way. The MSD thing is very...very irritating, no doubt. There is room in the marketplace for something better than MSD if someone had some deep pockets to get started.

Here is a link for the first run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTan85BLd2Y&feature=youtube_gdata_player

This was the run where the msd rev limiter was set a 7000 but in reality it was at 6000. Would have been a much better run than the 10.12. 60 foot was 1.331. And i think it may have lifted a tire.

How silly of those people. If it had a turbo it would of been much slower!

Nice job kevin, can't view the video at work:rolleyes:. Your so close to those 9's. Any other ideas to get you there with this setup other than just making a better pass? I know you've got some lighter doors and trunk in your future......

Just making a clean pass should do it. On the second run I was shifting way early just in case it still wanted to rev limit at 6000. I shifted out of first at 5500. I still want to put more timing in it . More blower drive. I want to wait on doors and trunk till my new engine combo

I was guessing too.....

The IAT sensor sticking out of the hood showed a low temp of 62 when I made my last pass.

I know it was nice and toasty down my way on sunday. I think it was about 60 on saturday at cecil. The weather data wouldn't come up on drag times for saturday.

That 1/8th mile et is enough for 9's. Just imagine how much more efficent that m-90 would be up top with a big ol' snail feeding it:cool:
