axle hop

This is a general type question that does not apply only to SC's. Why to standard tranny cars exhibit axle hop while autos do not? This seems to be a universal truth irrelevant to brand, fwd/rwd etc.

Slop baby, slop... (It's physics)

Auto's have a nice little torque converter that acts like a big piece of rubber connecting the wheels to the ground. It absorbs the energy that a manual transmission can't.

Thus on a manual transmission, all the energy get's left at the tire, and if it's grip is insuffcient that energy then get's put into the suspension, bushings, anything that will move.

Thus bump..bump..bump.

I should also add that it snaps output shafts like little twigs(exactly like mine at the moment)

Thanks

I thought that it might be some kind of fluid absorption of the drive line shock. I just wanted a 2nd opinion.
