Still awaiting my refurb'd MPX from Charles. All I get from him is "production was delayed" but not an expected arrival date. Turning it in to the BBB and going from there. The lack of communication and generalization of the reasoning is beyond acceptable.

Went and got an 95 SC to put on the car so hopefully it can be driven over to a shop and get the exhaust fixed on it and then get some tuning done. After that is done the FMIC will be installed and hopefully Spring will be here.

How is everyone else doing on their updates/changes?

Work mostly.

Hoping to get the ball rolling soon on collecting parts for the 94 and get it to the shop to get fixed. And in the middle of it all, I either need to find another vehicle to drive or an engine for the 90.

There's a handful of things that I'm hoping to accomplish on the 94 while it's in the shop (gauge install, carpet swap, and window tint top the list)

What happened to the engine in the 90? Have anything to do with that pic you sent me?

So spent 1/2 the day in the ER with the Mrs. Seems this kid is a bit harder on her. Have to go in this morning and get more tests ran. Only 8 more weeks, so things are looking promising.

Charles sent my SC finally, so now with getting the house/babyroom ready and moving furniture, painting and adjusting I need to find time to get that installed. :)

Winter projects are going slow. There is so much to change on the car. Just started in the engine compartment. Moved the alternator to the passenger side. Removed more stuff like the snow system, reservoir tank for window washer fluid and menthol. Going to remove wiper motors as well. Got to finish running the cold side into the engine compartment, finish a custom lower intake manifold, intake vents for the turbos, paint, wiring, plumbing the IC water hoses. oil lines and on and on.

Ken

PS Hope the new addition to the family goes smoothly

I wouldnt classify it as a race car just yet. Its not a daily driver so it never goes out in the rain. I havent had a wiper blade on it for years so it makes no sense to keep the extra weight. I figure that the conversion from the blower to turbos will drop about 150lbs, most of that over the front end. Lucky for me there are no required inspection here:p

Small changes this winter; I took my rims to work to have them painted black. We have been so busy with collision work that we have put them back burner to paint customer's cars. In the meantime while I had the wheels off I painted my calipers orange. Oh, I also changed my supercharger fluid... You guys were right about how much that stuff stinks!!

I don't have the time slips in front of me. I think it was about 5 mph faster than my SC ever did in the 1/8th with essentially the same 60 foot time. I took it there before I got the new tires so I couldn't dump the clutch. Yea, yea excuses excuses. I don't care. I drove it almost every day this summer and NOTHING broke!!! :D

This fall I got a partition divider. (cuts off the cabin from the trunk) I'm thinking about adding a cup holder.

Accept the challenge or come up with a Jim Demmitt excuse yourself.:cool: This should keep you quiet for a few months. ;)

Speaking of two. Number two is starting out being interesting. Mom is now locked into the hospital until the baby is born. They want 37 weeks, but that is 4.5 weeks away. Doc said she wouldn't last that long.

They have the FLU bug stop going on, so 18 or older only. I have to explain to our 4 yr old why he can't go see Mom and won't see her until the baby is able to come home/born.

They gave the Mrs. steroids to get the lungs developed. Taking blood daily and running labs. When a test shows any adnormalities they are going to go get the little one.

In the meantime the Mrs. is allowed to stay in her street clothes and lay in bed and just wait. They did allow the little guy to visit her, which is nice. Right now you have to be 18 or older to get into the hospital with the flu going around.

Car got snow on it this morning when I opened the garage door. Seems there was a drift across the driveway. Pretty sure it shuddered. :p

Addison Grace came into the world via c section at 4:34pm. 4 lbs 5.4 ounces (somehow with premies that .4 matters). 16.5 inches long. 33 weeks old. She is doing everything on her own, but because she was under 2 kilos she and not 35 weeks she is in the nicu.

Mom is doing well but can't wait to hold her daughter. Dad is busy running between rooms taking video and pictures and escorting people. Yes, I can now say I was a male escort.

Thank you everyone! Mom came home Saturday, but has very high BP, so we have to keep an eye on that. She is having a hard time leaving the baby in NICU.

Melon, March 20th is what they told us, but we are pretty sure it will be before then. She only has a pulse and resperation monitor on her. She is in a crib now, but needs to prove she can hold down the 30ML from each meal before going home. She is doing it, so now she just needs to put on some weight. (how many girls can say that?)

I am exhausted, but hanging in there. Anyone wants to come over and put the new MPX on the car and finish tuning it let me know. :D Odds are I wont be there.

Got the MPX all back together. Now I am hoping for some free time to get it on the car add the oil put on the fans and then try and get two more ramps for the rear end to lift the rear up and try and pull the exhaust. It's all one piece, so with just one person it is fun. Was hoping to use a lift for the job, but it's not available yet.

Put the SC all back together Sunday and started it up. Other then the small exhaust leak from the O2 I have not been able to remove it is running pretty good.

Taking it in to Iowa Muffler on Wednesday to get the exhaust fixed and hopefully the AFR bung installed.

How is everyone else coming along?

Sorry, I didn't do a good job describing it. I think you want a piece of pipe with the same OD and length of your current C&L MAF with a slot maf bung welded on. That way you can remove the C&L MAF, install this new homemade adapter, then rewire car for slot MAF and install.

This is what I had Ken do last year when he switched over to the slot MAF.

1 piece of correct diameter exhaust pipe cut to length. (possible scrap from exhaust shop)
1 slot MAF adapter. (I think I have seen them for under $20)
Drill hole in pipe and weld on adapter.

If anyone starts selling this idea I get $.01 per item sold.

Had the DIS tested and both that I had failed, so spent the $ and got another one and while I was at it swapped in a new CAM sensor I had. The car is up and running and awaiting a new cry file from DD and the tuning will begin.

Opened the screw on the TB a bit and that got rid of my CEL light at idel. Not the best way, but effective until the tune file comes in.

Sucks that this damn virus messed with my memory. Several mistakes have been made. I remember the doctor asking me, "Do you have any memory loss?" My response was "Not that I can remember." It was kind of funny then, but not so much now. Well, seems a section of memory/information has been found that fell off the radar. Poor Mike has been helping me. Appreciate the help MIKE!!!
