I went to Fayetteville this past Saturday to film Robert's attempt to make a 9 second pass. He came oh so close!

All in all it was a great day for racing and I wanted to share the news with you guys who may not frequent TCCoA often if at all.

From TCCoA:

First pass 10.11 @ 139.19 mph 60ft was 1.52

Then we ran into a tuning issue car was going straight to third gear any how I managed a 1.47 60 ft time but the car shifted right to 3rd gear after the 1-2 shift still fighting the issues car went 10.04 @ 137 manually shifting on a 1.49 60ft finally figured out shifting issues and the converter quit locking and at that point everything was to hot, with no chance to cool down if only we would have figured out the trans issue, any how I'm running Mickey Thompson new radial pro which is 275/60/15, if I could have got the 1.47 60 ft with the trans working, it definitely has a 9 in it but I'm afraid the trans is not up to the task of locking in second any more.

PS. The car does not have a roll bar nor is it getting one any body who knows me, knows I can't crawl over a roll bar with my legs, so we don't wanna hear about no roll bar, and I think Neibert agrees with me here!

Robert

Yes, we've discussed the Roll bar/cage issue at TCCoA ad nauseum. Hopefully it won't be an issue here too.

The R/T will come with time. He was more concerned with getting a good run outta the car that day than setting a new personal best R/T record.

No, the boost it at 20 something lbs. already and he's sworn off of N2O. However he does have another idea about how to get the car going faster. He should have that finalized by the Shootout in Sept. (If he decides to go) or by the after Thanksgiving meet that we have every year in the Carolinas.

Very impressive...especially the 60 ft times he's getting.

Ron, was Robert launching off a trans brake or foot brake ?

Wowza, nice numbers. It would be great to see that car competing at the Shootout.

Just the foot brake David. He doesn't run a trans brake.

Yea, may be we can talk him into coming back to the Shootout this year.

The mph is there for 9's, and the car picks up great on the back end.
