Chromed aluminum - Ken?

Does a piece of chromed aluminum tubing essentially require the same force to crush as a piece of chromed steel tubing? Wondering how much rigidity the chrome adds to it.

The chrome is so thin that it adds little to nothing in rigidity to an alum pipe. Just looks pretty. Alum is a lot softer material than steel so it will crush a lot easier than steel

Thanks...so if an intake were banging against the shock tower, it probably wouldn't take long to fubar a chromed aluminum tube?
