On colder days engine cranks fine, idles fine but when I drive the 1/2 mile or so to the first stop sign and stop the engine will stall out when I try to pull away unless I rev engine. This continues till engine gets up to normal temp
then it does great. any ideas

I have not had this problem on my Bird but I did have this happen to my 90 Taurus. I changed the Map Sensor and that fixed it. I hope this helps

Thanks for the imput, I just happen to have an extra bap sensor and first

u probably hitting the clip limit of the iac

with the engine warm, unplug the iac, the engine should die, open the set screw on the throttle body 1 full turn and plug the iac back in.. enjoy

if it doesnt die u have a vac leak

is the check engine light on?

check engine is not on. If it was a vac leak it wouldn't idle when warm, so I
don't thank thats it but I could be wrong. So I will check that. thanks for the input. Were having not the best weather here so I will also check that on first good weather day.

depends on the severity of the vac leak, a smallish vac leak will cause idle issues when cold and won't effect warm idle much

Finally got a decent weather day changed bap sensor, problem seems to
be solved. thanks again to everyone for imput.
