New Dyno Numbers!!

:D All I have to say is if anyone in Cali is looking for a Tune you have to check out Shawn Ellis. He tunes both in NorCAl and SoCAL and was very helpful and as you can see numbers don't lie :). These number are with less timing then my last pull only change was my rotor pack, fixed a pin hole leak in one of my intercooler pipes, and didn't use the Meth injection. Next plan will be a race gas Tune :D

why didnt u use the meth?

good numbers, what all u got done?

I had a leak on one nozzle so would of only been one nozzle and the tuner said all it takes is for one problem with the meth injection and it will go boom and with everything done to the car I just cannot afford to take the risk. If I get 80 pound injectors I can run e85 but it would be pushing it with my current 60lbs. Also with e85 the corrosion and other problems I have heard makes me leery about it. Race gas insures the octane is always there and don't have to worry about something failing. I know lots of people have had great success with methanol injection but I didn't want to push my luck lol. As far as setup goes I have Eagle rods, Wiseco Pistons, ported big valve heads, MPX 25% OD with MP coated rotor pack, 85mm Throttle body with 85mm C&L MAF, Yellow Terra Rockers, Cam specs are on here but I would have to look them up I know lift is .612, fuel cell and battery in the trunk with an aeromotive a1000 and all teflon lines :)

Good results! When you get the race fuel, you should be able to crank it up to 6000rpm. Right now it looks like things are going south on you pre-maturely due to possible detonation.

Very excited and ya really need the octane to crank it up. This was a safe tune with much less timing then last time I was thinking it could also possibly be due to need a little more work on the exhaust ports of my heads. Found a couple other bugs I need to fix but nothing major so looking forward to going up from here :D. Also we weren't seeing much power past 5500 so they let off at the end.

Yes, I got that, hence the comment about race fuel. The dyno chart clearly shows that combustion at high rpm isn't clean. It's not the engine that doesn't want to make power up there.

Could the tune be changed more on the top end or do you think it just the lack of octane?

Looks like the MP rotor pack is a really nice mod! Really nice numbers. She must be a lot of fun to drive.

How much boost are you getting? What was your boost before the new RP? How much HP and TQ did you gain from the swap?

:D only change was my rotor pack

Just wondering what condition was your old rotor pack in? Only reason I ask is before the Gen V coating was available, I ordered a new rotor pack threw zzperformance......wandering if it'd be worth spending the money for the new rotor pack or not.

Thanks Steve

Looks like you picked up about 20rwhp using similar rpm comparisons. Are the two runs on the chart before and after of the rotor pack or are they same day before and after tuning differences?

I had issues with my car last time so it's kind of hard to make a fair comparison but my last dyno graph is here so last time was a max hp of 326.99 and max torque of 375.38 and my bosst was only 16.49lbs and now is about 19-20PSI. Things to keep in mind; My tune needed work, I fixed a couple vacuum leaks, fixed a couple pin holes in my charge pipes and also had someone who helped me with the tune. Last time was also with methanol injection and more timing so hard to compare the two but the new rotor pack certainly helped a lot that's for sure. I plan on pulling my plugs and double checking the gap. I have a feeling I might need to gap them closer.
