View Full Version : SCCoA under new management

David Neibert
05-07-2013, 10:57 AM
Effective May 1, 2013 the ownership of SCCoA and all of its assets (excluding the AWD SC), have been transferred from George Davenport to David Neibert and Pat DiPersia.

If all goes to plan this transition will be completely seamless for SCCoA members and the non-members. We have numerous plans for improvements to the SCCoA website and the Forums that we will announce at a later date. Until then pretty much everything will remain the same, except that Pat and myself will be the administrators.

At this point we are still in a state of transition and ask that you allow us a week or two to get our ducks in a row. Without getting real specific, the general plan is that I will be the person who interfaces with club members and represents SCCoA and Pat will be the guy behind the curtain pulling all the levers to make everything work.

If you have specific questions or comments about the change of ownership for me, Pat or George, please feel free to post them here and we will do our best to answer them.

Thanks, David

Congrats David and Pat on the purchase. Looking forward to the future.

Thanks to Duffy and George for keeping the site going as long as they did. Despite the flaws this has still been a great site to visit over the years and has made my SC ownership more enjoyable.

Well, thats it; I quit!! :)

Actually, thanks Dave and Pat for taking this on and keeping it going. It is members like you guys that make this club really cool.

Also, as John just said, thanks to Duffy and George for all the work, commitment and care they gave to the SCCoA for as long as they did.

Cheers!

I'm brand new here, but I have found this site very informative even for someone like me who can barely change a tire. I'm learning something every time I log on.

Congrats to the new management , and thank you to the prior management for all your efforts.

It's especially cool that someone in my area is part of the new management. I live in Granite City Illinois, five minute from Gateway International Speedway.

I sure would love to get together with knowledgeable folks such as Dave N. and others in my area so that I may learn about my coupe.

I'm not a current dues paying member, but I think as soon as I can get my SC back on the road, l will join.

Congrats again!

Will you be assigning member numbers again? Obviously it's not that important, I just like the idea of having one eventually. Thanks to all the people who ran this rig in the past, and you guys who are taking over! This site is the reason I got into sc's in the first place :)

The AWD SC and any parts or money contributed for it's restoration were not part of deal. Excluding the AWD SC from the transfer of SCCoA assets was done because Pat and I had no place to store it and didn't want the responsibility/liability. Given that this vehicle was a prototype that could never be licensed or driven on public roads, even if it was restored (that's a big IF) it would still have to be transported by trailer, just to display it.

It's my understanding that the car has already been donated to someone. Any additional info on the car would need to come from George or Duffy.

It would likely have a better chance being restored in the hands on one person than many people wanting to do diffrent things on it. I am pleased you became part of the new management. You have been one of the biggest supporter to this club in many helpful ways. Look forward to see where you guys drive it to from here

David,

I doubt it. Since we switched over to an automated member enrollment system, the member numbers are no longer assigned. In the past these numbers were manually assigned as part of the manual enrollment process.

Really??? I have two different kinds I picked up in Carlisle a few years back. I have two of each remaining. One was thin all silver and the other was thicker silver with a black border. One for each side of the XR7 and one spare of each.

If you think it will help, I can either scan each in my 6000 x 12000 dpi color scanner or mail a copy to you?

I would not have my SC anymore if it was not for this site. Duffy has answered many questions for me and everything from Head Gaskets to Transmissions and many, many items in between have been solved on here.

Not sure what new direction is needed but I am excited to stay and play. Let's be honest though, this site is all about keeping our toys running at their best and solving problems so we can get behind the wheel and play and the site has always managed to do that :D

Thanks to the previous crew for all their hard work and thanks to the future crew for all your hard work to come.

What's the plans for the AWD SC? Club contributions to get it running?

Yes...there will be several junk boxes (including the one from Russ) auctioned off at the Shootout on Friday night. Money collected goes to the person with the biggest breakdown.
