Hello My Friends... On my P/S pump I noticed fliud coming out of the sensor where the pressure line goes in...Should I replace the sensor or is there O-rings that can be changed??? Can I replace this pump w/ a NON assist pump? PS is it common to have some oil in the IC tubes????
thanks Bert "tbertsc" Hricik

Ok first of all the pump is the same for each application. The onlt difference is the fitting which should be able to be swapped. From the service manual, it looks like there are o-rings on th EVO Actuator (the sensor where the pressure line is connected. You will probably get an idiot light (probably the ride control as it is tied in with it) if you swap it it's all computer controlled.

As for the oil in the IC tubes that is normal. It's from the PCV which runs crankcase fumes back through the intake to be burned. With those fumes you get oil vapors that deposit in your IC and tubes. You can instal a filter (an inline fuel filter) in the PCV line to cut down on this but it is normal.
