I need to remove the drivers side header to fix a leak. Does anyone know if it can simply be unbolted and removed from the underside or will I have to remove/move other things such as steering knuckle, intercooler piping, etc? (These old ones seem to be made of swiss cheese so I am assuming there's lots of experience to call on.)

I use the underside on the driver side header. Steering shaft doesn't need to come out. I typically undo the driver side motor mount and get that side of the engine up as far as I can.

Intercooler piping seems a little rigid. Can you lift the moter with it in place?
