Installing gauges without sending units ??

I wamt to install a
Fuel pressure
Oil pressure and
Coolant temp gauges

Steward Wagner brand

That I bought from bye bye birdy but he couldnt get the senders out for some odd reason
Can I install using other senders or will they not work ??

The senders are electronic and the gauges are analog gauges I believe

CAn I get aftermarket senders to work with them or any pointers on how to figure this out ?

You have to have the sending unit for them to work

You have to have the sending unit for them to work

Thanks david

THey sell some sending units separate but not sure if those will work ? I should call the company and ask them right ?

The gauges say electronic sending unit

So im not sure if one of these sending units will work for oil press ?

Found this one http://m.summitracing.com/parts/sww-114875

ANd this one

They both say electrical just gotta make sure its same ohm range ?

you are correct those senders are 1 wire variable resistance sensors, their resistance to ground is dependent upon the pressure on the diaphragm

I have autometer gauges and they require 3 wire senders, yours appear to only be 1, I'm curious how well that works, was there anything negative the seller had to say about them? why did he sell?

He is parting out his car

And im not sure either ive never used these gauges but yes seems like the only signal they recieve is from the diaphragm I wonder how accurate they are as well ? I will get the exact part #s and check the ohm resistances for each gauge and get a corresponding sender see how that goes ? Hope it works out

so i did some research on the Steward wagner brand of gauges

and from all i read they used to dominate the market before

but their styling was never great and never changed so autometer ran over them
and back in 04-05 they came back with some updating but
now are one of the best gauges out there

says they are some of the most accurate gauges

i will test them out they are very nice tho here are some pics
