Electrical Gremlins?

Have been having intermittent issues with my 94 SC auto. Initially, the fuel pump would refuse to run when the car was restarted while warm. Then it started shutting off while driving.(Not fun in traffic!) I found and replaced two badly overheated fuses in the power distribution box which seemed to temporarily solve the problem.

Lately the fuel pump does not run on a cold start without turning the key on and off multiple times. I have been experiencing rough idle issues and sudden loss off power when accelerating from a standing stop. (feels like someone momentarily shut off the ignition or fuel.)

Have been getting codes 543- fuel pump circuit open, and 226- IDM signal not received. The pump was replaced about 4 years ago.
Just trying to decide if this is an electrical issue or just a bad pump.
Neither the ICM or ICRM have ever been replaced.

Thanks in advance for your input.

sounds like a flat spot on the pump if you can tap or whack the tank and it turns on then its a flat spot needs replacement
