Rear wheel bearing and Hub bad
About 3 months ago, I changed the rear wheel bearing after noticing it was wobbling slightly. Jacked it up, grabbed the wheel at the 12 & 6 o'clock position and the wheel moved about 1/2 inch. I had a local shop press out and press in the new bearing and hub.
Yesterday, I found it was again bad and this time the hub also appears bad spins inside the bearing race. I have to replace the bearing and the hub. When I installed the hub nut 3 months ago, I did not know about the 250 ft/lbs torque spec. However, when I took it off yesterday, the nut did not seem to be loose.
Does anyone know what is causing this?
