Transmission Mount

I put solid motor mounts and solid trans mount when I went through the motor. The added vibration is nowhere near bad, but I was wondering if I went to a fluid filled trans mount could I smooth the vibration out a little closer to stock. Thanks for any input on this.

I'd think so, but YMMV. As well, be sure to check the mounts on the ends of the trans crossmember. Mine were shot, so I replaced with good used I pulled out of a lower mileage donor.

Cross member mounts looked fine when I installed the solid trans mount. I think I will give the fluid filled trans mount a try and see what happens, they are only about $20.00 shipped from Rock Auto and maybe a little less with a discount code. It was also one of the easier tasks to perform on these cars. Don't want to sound ignorant but what does YMMV stand for.

Your Mileage May Vary.

It's like BNI (Batteries Not Included), TTL+ (Tax Title and License Extra), and several more abbreviations that started and honor the shorthand used by early Morse Code users.
