I think it should go to the EGR solenoid which has a couple of vacuum ports and an electrical connection.

Edit: Is this an auto or manual car? 1990 Automatics didn't have EGR.

the solenoid is located in the vicinity of the EGR valve on the underside of the cowl Panel.

Ok, then you don't need the EGR valve at all. The 1990 auto computer won't even activate it anyway. At this point, you might be best off just capping that fitting.

And if you're going to cap that fitting... What are you going to do with the EGR Tube? I've had like 3 sent to me all in "good" condition that are all broken/cracked in the bellows part. How does yours look??

Well, I don't have any such tube, since my car is a 1990 auto.

The best thing would be to pull the blower and plenum, drop the cats, remove the passenger side exhaust manifold, replace it with the 1990 manifold, take all the EGR stuff out, and reassemble with the EGR block-off plate on the plenum.

But that's a lot of work.

An exhaust leak would not be good either, but what's the worst that could happen? You would only have to do the same work as mentioned above.

The question was to the OP of the thread. My bird will be in Cali and is a Annie 5 speed, so EGR has to stay...
