5.0 Ford Focus !!!!

I was watching speed channel (hotrod magizine tv) and I see a Ford Focus 5.0!!! Thats right this Company in CA put a 5.0 Engine in a focus. ITs a rear wheel drive car, they didnt give any tech specs like 0-60 but the engine was rated at 350HP+ The guy who drove it said he was keeping up with a M5 on the highway !!!! I think im in love :D and they threw in the fact its ready to be supercharged think about it, its the best of both worlds sport compact weight and handling and american muscle and its rear wheel drive of course with a 5-speed manual. Its 300 pounds heavyier or a stock focus.

Just wanted to share that with you guys

Now imagine if every company got its head out of its ~~~ and started making some more rearwheel drive cars. Cavaliers and focuses could become the vega's and chevy II's of the new millenium. Instead they keep buildng cars with the wrong wheels driving them. :(

yea but the focuses are ugly IMO. they should make it look more like an aerodynamic car instead of a freakin cute bubble thing.. :(

You can buy the complete blot-in kit to make your focus rear wheel drive and v-8 powered. Not sure why you'd want to though. Can't imagine it's much of a car when you are done.

4. I liked the comparison to Chevy II's and Vega's - its actually kind of accurate, except in ten years I am sure that there will still be cavalier's and focus's on the the road without rust

lol this guy in highschool here has a brand new focus, he filled it up with speakers and the whole thing rattles and buzzes now. lol, he also put a the air intake tube on and now he thinks his car is the fastest car at school now, im gonna have to race him and show him whos boss...

I wouldnt buy a stock focus myself BUT!! if i had goobs of money and was willing to do what these guys did and convert it to a rear wheel drive V8 i could give that a chance, i mean the guy on the TV show claimed he was keeping up with a M5 if it has that kinda speed who cares what it looks like.

The Focus is not gay. Its Fords #1 selling car. It looks good and is cheap. Also the SVT Focus is faster then any stock Honda Civic. Im Building a Turbo motor for my friends 2000 Focus and when its done it will run mid to low 13's. He can make it that fast for alot cheaper then what it would take to make my 89 SC run those times.

So you are telling me building a custom turbo set up is somehow cheaper than doing the same to an SC?? Or choosing another way to get it to run 13's? Sorry to sound rude, im just a little confused.:confused:

I am really not even sure how much a focus costs, but I am sure its in the 15-20k range... You can get a decent 89-92 SC for 3-4k... if you were to spend as much money on the car as to bring it up to the STOCK focus price, you would have an insanely fast car.
