timing cover stud removal

Okay so I'm building a 92 super coupe engine. When I removed the timing cover the two long studs that go into the block bent and I damaged the threads, wondering if these studs are removable and if I can buy them online or something.

Removable, yes. Available at a parts counter, probably not.

If you have the front cover off you should be able to extract the studs. If the front cover is stuck on you may have to cut the studs off to remove the cover.

If you need new studs you can post in the parts wanted forum and I bet you find someone with some used ones they will sell you.

You can put two nuts on the studs and tighten them up to bring them out, that is if the threads are still good.

I have a couple laying around if you find you need them

A piece of all-thread will work too McMaster-Carr has 1meter for about $5 ($10 for Zn coated) plus shipping.

Alright. One last thing, are the studs pressed in, or threaded in? I have the cover off but it took an hour haha I'm gonna get them out and put used ones in. Who wants to sell me a couple?

Got old studs out and new ones in. Thanks guys for the help.
If anyone ever needs to know the studs are m8-1.0 threads on both sides.
