I just picked up a late model for my '90 XR7 and am getting ready to port it. I've done minor work on several sets of heads b4, now it's time to do an m90. I've got the basic idea, but am looking for details. Since a picture is worth 1000 words.....

Any body got some showing the inlet inside and out, please post 'em up. Also interested in seeing how the opened up outlet is sized.

Suggestions/directions r welcome as well.

Thanks
Adam

Yep, tried that. Got 6 PAGES of threads....
With a total of about 8 not too good pics

Figured this was a popular mod, it'd be nice to get several sets of pics together on one post.

I just finished a late model a couple of mths ago.

I had a factory S Port on at the time so I had a performance benchmark to compare to.

The only difference with my port job was to make the radius on the inside bleed a little closer to the outside wall. (sorry no pics)

Outlet is almost a mirror image.

I went from a 73-70 combo to 76-75 on the cold air side or roughly a 10% increase. Stock plumbing. Dyno benchmark approx 310 rwhp with no tune.

With the ported late model vs the S Port I was able to go from 11 psi of boost to 12.5 psi or a 14.5% increase.

This is with 13% overdrive and MP Plenum. Still no tune although it is now ready for a spring install. (thanks DD)
