View Full Version : Billet Brake Reservoir Caps

These will be replacement caps not covers for the brake fluid reservoir. I'll be doing a run of these tomorrow so if anyone wants one let me know. Again this is not a group buy, no minimum. I'll be making this for myself and ill make some extras for whoever else wants one. I'll have a final price on this tomorrow after I run the first part.

Here's a few quick renderings of the different logos, Im using the same ones as the engine caps that way if you want a theme going everything can match. I'll do the XR7 tomorrow, I added a "3.8 SUPERCHARGED" and I might do another cap with the COUGAR EMBLEM. The real caps will look nicer smooth cuts not all jagged. I've been working off a loaner computer with a crappy graphics card and old CAD software.

I was thinking the same thing! I'm chroming/powdercoating my whole motor right now and the huge yellow reservoir bugs me.

Does it at least still have a good decal on it?

Sorry, I'm not that interested in a cap for the brake reservoir. Any chance you'll lid the radiator cap?

No decal.

I'll see if I can come up with a clean/used one. Someone here used to have new...helps to distract from the yellowing, I think.

:)! - w/SuperCharged would be great, thanks.

Good luck w/the MC caps.

Pricing hasn't been listed and I'm not taking the orders yet. I like to build the part first to see how much time goes into it as well as make sure the fitment is right before I take anyone's money. I was hoping to have one done by Monday but Edison decided to start doing some electrical work in my area and set us back, I only had enough time to finish some door sills I'm making, now I'm back on these caps.
I should be around 32 polished if everything goes smoothly.

This will probably be the last cap I offer for awhile, I will continue to make parts but will not offer them until they are done. I have a few guys who are buying everything I'm making and feel kind of bad charging shipping every single time. I'm not making money on the shipping but I would like to still save you guys some money.

Thanks

So does that mean your going to collect full sets before you start selling them next go around? If that is the case I will wait until you havea complete engine kit. If that is the case of course.

These are happening for sure. I've wanted this cap since I drew it up last year just got swamped with my motorcycle stuff. The sills won't really take up my time since they've already been proven out and I'm not doing any new designs so I'll set up a couple machines and have some of my guys run them. I actually dusted off this brake cap project a couple weeks ago while i was waiting for the sill order to close. I had to order a custom groove tool to make the original seals to work. My plan is to do a pretty good size run of these and just sell them vs. the pre order way. A small item like this is pretty low cost to put on the shelf. As soon as I finish them I'll post a link to order.

Just curious if these be done in the contrast cut black like the sills by any chance? If not the polished SC will be fine, I already bought an oil cap cover from Ford Motorsport in chrome…real nice piece, but I might have to buy one of those from you as well if I get a brake reservoir cap

They're partially done, never had a chance to finish them. I plan on it one day. We've had a lot of new parts being produced at my company that's taking most of my time and all of our machines. We've got a couple new machines that are helping out with the workload, when things catch up I will definitely finish these. When that day comes I will finish them completely and then sell them, no pre-buys or order taking so I dont end up in the situation with the coolant caps that took a lot longer than they should have. (which I thank a few members on here for their patience.)
