94 SC won't start...no crank.

Question: Drove my SC earlier to the gym. Leaving the house fired right up. Leaving the gym, a little hard to crank.

Get home and have to run another errand, nothing. Measures 10v at the battery and everything turns on as normal, except it won't even attempt crank. Nothing happens when I turn the key. Car was running just fine when I came home. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Would this be indicative of a DIS module failure?

"Measures 10V at the battery". I think I'd fix THIS first, because at 10V you're getting down to "How in HELL is it running at all?" range.

And with the voltage drop while cranking due to the current draw, I'm not surprised it's not starting!

Fix your charging system / battery FIRST, then see if it still has problems.

It was strange as I literally had the car serviced by Ford 3 days ago and it read "70% of normal battery life remaining"

Odd. I'll see how the new battery holds up. If it dies, then I have another odd gremlin somewhere.

Checking the alternator output is the first thing i would check. Then check for a short.
