found a 35th for sale!

i just saw this 35th at a lot here in grand old alaska and wondered what you guys thought of it, and what i should pay for it. bigger pics are linked below. my concern is that my company is moving to seattle in february, is it worth it to buy then ship the car or is it easy to find a 35th down there?

no dents
front and rear bumpers appear to have been repainted. (peeling paint)
2 cracks in rear bumper at the bottom (pic below)
62,498 miles
interior is in a little less than decent condition, worn drivers bolster, cigarette burns on seats. definately a smokers car.
engine sounds good
you can see that the ic tubes were resealed at some point (black compound at the seams)
aftermarket tires
rattle comes from engine bay
crack in windshield

OMG that is the craziest chit i have ever experienced. i just went back to the lot with a friend who can drive stick pretty good (i have once driven stick) to test drive it. the salesguy comes out and verifies my buddy's insurance (its a park & sell lot, so they don't actually own the cars) then we get in. my buddy says that the clutch is really bad and that you have to let it out all the way before it catches. (the e-brake is broken too!) and the guy takes us to an icy road to test drive it, so i don't ever get to see the boost cross "0". then when we get back, the salesman says lets talk to the boss and see what he says about price. so he sticks his head out the door and says "are you taking it home tonight?" i said "well, i would have to get a loan." he says "do you have a job?" i say "yeah.." he says "well go get one". i said "well the price bothers me." he says "what price?" salesman says "4,995" he says "well what do you think you should pay for it?" i then turned to look at the car and thought for just a second, then i turned back to say what i thought, and he turned away and shut the door!!!:eek: i turned to my friend and the salesman and said "alright then" i said "well let me get the vin off of it." the salesman said "no problem" and went in to get a pen. the boss comes back out the door and says "we don't play bullsh** internet games around here!, thats the car! it sells for $5000!" my buddy and i are blown away! my buddy says "you guys are f**kin' insane." and he comes back out and says "do you wanna get your f**kin' ~~~ kicked?! this is my lot and if you wanna get smart, i'll bounce your ~~~ across the f**kin' street! now get the f**k outta here, get off my f**kin' lot!" after a brief pause he adds "its a f**kin' 35th anniversary thunderbird! i'll sell it for $5000 all day long! so get the f**k out!"

Wow dude.... THAT sounds like one of the crooked car dealers we used to have back home. Jeez, that guy sounds like a total jerk. Definatly find who the real owner is and tell him to either get that car off that lot, or sell it to you for less!

Heh, should have done what one of my friends did at a car lot like that once. Leave a posi patch and make sure they don't see your license plate :p
