Well folks, we are once again planning for this years JBMN SB event.

We will be holding the event in late August. The dates will be August 22-24, 2014. Mark your calendars. The pavillion is secured for Sunday August 24th at Poor House Farm Park for the car show and picnic.

The rest we will get sorted out and finalized in the next couple months. I am again planning on holding a track rental this year if we can get it started early. I will contact the track and schedule for morning of August 23rd, 8 until noon. More on that later.

All comments welcome at this point. Speak now or hold your peace later. We are looking for 30 cars to make it happen for the track event.

The preliminary Itinerary will be as follows:

Friday Aug 22 - Late afternoon Meet and Greet at Host Hotel-Comfort Inn, Martinsburg 5PM until 9PM.

Saturday Aug 23-

(1) Optional Track Rental at Mason Dixon on Saturday. Contingent on enough interest. (Pricing TBD) Plan B A Mid-Morning Cruise through WV back roads.

(2) We will meet at the Comfort Inn and cruise to Hagerstown at approximately 3 PM. We will be going to the Golden Corral Buffet for the all you can eat buffet there then head across Valley Mall for the Saturday car show. We should be there before 5PM. We'll park there for a couple hours and have a good time conversing and looking at the other cars. (Bring a chair). Or/After that your choice. ** Please be aware the charges for dinner are paid to the Golden Coral at that time and not to the club.

Sunday Aug 24 -
(1) 10:00 Am Line up at Comfort Inn. Police escort 10:30 to Poor House Farm Pavilion for our MAMN12 Car show and picnic/banquet site.
(2) 11 AM - Car show until approximately 1PM.
(3) 1 PM Dinner/Awards ceremony until approximately 3PM.

Costs this year are as follows:
Cut-off for Registration this year is Aug 5. After that on a case-by-case only.

Car/Driver including Picnic- $20.00

Car/Driver including picnic with passenger: $37.00

Children 6 - 10 are $8.00. Children 5 and under are free!!!
Add $5 per person if you plan to attend the Friday Night Meet & Greet. Children 10 and under are free!!!
BYOB to the Meet & Greet, if you so desire.

The Saturday Buffet at the Hagerstown Golden Corral is to be paid for on location, and is approximately $14 per person including a beverage. (Do Not pay this to the club).

We are most likely looking at approx $75 per car. This fee is based on the number of cars aka, the more we have the cheaper it is.

Looks like track rental is a real possibility right now - we have 16 pre registered commitments.

Again this is a great event for anyone within reasonable distance to attend. Not many better in this area.

For those folks that have signed up to race at Summer Blast and have not paid yet...... Karen is requesting that you pay up ASAP Let's go racing boys and girls. :)

I would love to have the T-bird there but I will no longer have a supercharger for my car by then:( Mabe we could bring the Mustang or Lightning down

Just an update to those who may be coming last check was have secured the track rental with 16 prepaid folks and 20 interested...when its all said and done it will be a 30 car private track rental with unlimited passes for $75. Pretty much a smoking deal IMHO.

The Picnic and MN12/Fox exclusive Car show shows 13 cars at last check (Paid that is). Again this event usually brings in around 15-20 cars and is a great weekend thats not rushed and is a great time overall.

Hope to see some more new faces. This show is always worth the price of admission.

Carshow Picnic: 17 cars/drivers 8 Guests

We are still taking ticket sales for both events if anyone is interested. Tickets can only be purchased at the door by prior arrangements.

Registration for the event has been extended to Aug 15

ATTENTION ALL!!!! The track rental is a GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

ALL MN12/FN10/MN12SC and friends.

Those that have not paid please get your money in or be prepared to pay it at the gate. Contact Karen and Let her know which it will be. The Cost is $75.00 for those that have not paid and that is for the 4 hour block of all you can run. Please have the correct amount of cash on hand. We will not be doing change. NON-MN12, TRUCKS, CARS, SEDANS, ETC Welcome to participate at this track rental.

That will include 1 spectator per paid racer. Anyone coming on their own must pay the $10.00 track fee for a specator pass. OR, find someone going in by themselves to join and get in the gate as their spectator.

All racers be prepared to run. Have long pants, shoes and sleeved shirt. No tank tops. Have the proper equipment for ET and helmet preferred. Required for convertibles and 13.99 or quicker. This is an NHRA sanctioned Track!

So all those that have been sitting on the fence contemplating this get it in gear and get hold of Karen and get the funds in or let us know you'll be coming to run. I expect there will be some call outs and side by side runs at this one.

Those that are all talk and no action, sit at home like you always do, or come out with us and have some fun with your MN12/FN10 Buddies. There are a lot of cars within driving distance of this that could come and enjoy us for the weekend. Let your conscience be your guide.

So come, run what ya brung and hope to hell you brung enough!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Meet & Greet is a week from tomorrow. Anyone interested in attending the track event and weekend picnic/show please contact Karen and get reservations made. We need to finalize plans late this week.
