Just wondering if anyone know where you can get an upgraded alternator? I really dont know much about them or even the output of the stock one but I would like to upgrade mine.

Thanks

Drew I took the one on the Cougar to a place that builds them and had them boost the out put considerably

Drew, try Canadian Alternators and Starters in Markham , 905-201-8984 , ask for Prem , he has done a few starters for me , seems to be ok , price is more than good , I am sure he can boost the factory one if its possible.

Yeah, and it only cost 180 or 200 bucks for the new one. Its 6g. No mods were required for install

Just a heads up with getting a stock one rebuild they can work well or will give you a lot of problems I have found out the hard way. there is one part in them that's hard to find a replacement for and if its gone your done.

Paul did you just do a stock G6 upgrade or too a bigger one I have one already but I don't want to put it on yet with the stock wires as its 220 amps. as well where did you find the plug for it?

I got it off EBay out of Texas.

It came with a replacement pig tail that I had repined to the existing harness.

I have under drives on the car and it has no issues.

I can't honestly remember the amps but I am pretty sure its not over 200.

It's a seamless install that's worked perfectly for almost two yrs.
