Also i decided to upgrade to a late model decklid that was spoiler ready since i had one sitting in the garage:

After 6+ weeks dealing with crappy body shop and having to take it back once:

I still need to:

Tint the windows
Install the cornering lamps
Find cornering lamp bumb sockets
replace ac compressor
rear bumper letters (black)
do some touch up/detailing under the hood

I'm debating on the mustang hub swap and big brakes but i kinda hate to mess with it since its bone stock and everything (but ac) works flawlessly

Looking good! If you don't want to mess with an otherwise stock car, go with the GT PBR's, then you can keep your stock bolt pattern, wheels, and rotors.

Looking good! My 89 is clean and I am sticking with the stock look. I was going with a nice set of heads and cam but now I just need to get it running so the block will be stock with a smaller cam but better than stock. I like the idea that you have...keep it stock looking and get a strong running SC sleeper thing going!

Nice looking SC!

I'm thinking s port blower mp plenum tb maf injectors tune and call it done. It will look stock but be very quick and still be economical/reliable

I liked it better without the cornering lamps. I'd figure out how to patch the front bumper holes, or find another front bumper without them. Paint job looks good, what did it have to go back for?

They didn't paint the bottom of the hood (they were told to)

They didnt put the side mouldings back on (they were told to)

They did a crap job masking the trim

The front.bumper had 1/8" thick runs down by the fog lights

You could see the filler line from 20' away on one of the repairs

They got white paint all in the inner fenders::

They didn't paint the black bumper trim white

My shock towers had some surface rust on the seam welds. Plus the white under the hood was looking dingy! So i bought duplicoat Oxford white (same as my exterior paint) treated the rust cleaned everything masked and sprayed.

I also rebuilt my upper door hinges which needed done badly!

I need to replace the headlights and spray the header panel with krylon fusion plastic paint. I also need to put the ARC covers back on and repaint the rebuilt ported early model i just put together and IC tubes and top get all that crap on.

After many phone calls and extremely high IMO estimates i scheduled a new windshield! American Mobile Glass
is comming out and replacing it at work for 169.74 with tax :) Most the estimates were in the 240/250 range with
an extra charge for comming out to work and doing it SafeLite was over 400$!! OUCH !

Plat0ribs
05-21-2014, 03:16 PM
That Safeco estimate seems awful high. They did a SHO in the parking lot of the convention up in St. Cloud MN for $160 even! I can't imaging the T-bird unit would be that much more, there are certainly enough T-birds still rolling around to support the aftermarket for the glass.

Jacob_Royer
05-21-2014, 03:26 PM
I asked him if he was smoking crack and he told me that it was superior quality to oem glass bla bla whatever not worth the price of (2) replacements from another place :)

I'm going to get this thing over to the detail shop for a color sand and buff before the Street Machine Nationals next month! I also want to tint the windows i got an estimate from the local tint shop of $160 a little higher than some of the bigger places but he's local and has a good reputation. Everything on the car is 100% functional now and it drives flawlessly other than the tranny mount being worn (already has new motor mounts and i have a tranny mount i just havent put it on yet)

I would never even think of having a SC without full coverage insurance! The windshield was bad when i got the car and it was obviously not from the deer my wife hit so they didnt cover replacement. Yes it is tinted infact a little darker than the OE which i like

Pretty soft actually. My red Sc has black leather and has always been garaged (I'm 2nd owner) and I have religiously conditioned the leather and the seats are not as good as these. I guess the grey just holds up better? Idk I've yet to see mint original black leather in an sc

I don't think the leather had been treated EVER in the car before i bought it. Something that i do religiously! I need to get it tinted that would help alot too! this car is my DD so its always outside

I stole the wheels off my red sc since its in pieces . I have a set of lowering springs for it
I have not yet installed . Dont really want to have to roll these fenders like i did on the other sc.

I finished conditioning this seat today with lexol

I thought all seats after 91 had the bird embroidered into the back rest on the front seats? My 93 full leather did and my 92 leather/tweed had the bird. Those have to be 93 seats because that's the only year from 89-93 that opal grey was offered, right?

BTW, I LOVE the solid white. It looks really clean with all the trim painted!

I believe only tweed seats had the bird embroidered And yes this is a 93! thanks on the side trim i had thought about black or removing it all together and the painted look is good on a white car.

I stand corrected. Maybe my seats were recovered at some point. In any case yours look great for originals! Does the Lexol clean the seats too, or just condition? The seats in my 90 look filthy and I've tried everything.

Lexol makes a cleaner AND a conditioner! i used both products and they work very well! a little elbow grease and some simple green with a brush will get them clean

Rolled the fenders today also! I'd say the polly Isolators are a solid 3/4" lift. I have to pickup a couple new front tires for my cobra r's (they had hand me downs from the cobra on them)

If anyone needs them :

LOL - thanks for the tip - ordering another set

Quick question - I just did brand new Tokico's, new sway bar bushings front and rear, new upper control arms but did not do the rear springs. The rear still feels a little spongy. Should I do springs with these bushings or just try the bushings first?

Give the shocks (plenty of) time to lose the new.
