engine noise

i dont know why but my engine is loud, my old sc (red 90) was so much quieter, this one just has alot of noise and its annoying, all i want to hear is the blower, and right now i think im hearing the gay plastic pulleys ford puts on the tensioners... am i right, what can i do to make the car quiet? will the pulleys help alot? what else ?

Yes, the steel pulleys will help a lot. I just put some on and there is a huge difference.
