Hey guys. Finally getting ready to put my engine back together but i was looking and the cylinder heads look identical. Any sure way to tell?

Ill keep that in mind. Im using 98 mustang mls gaskets. I was told these are the proper ones to use.

From every motor I have seen.
The SC stamp goes to the front.

good point. I can confirm that is how it was on mine
Here is when it came out.

Looks good. I guess ill jist make sure the stamp goes in the front. I noticed you didnt have those flimsy sheet metal things on that hold the lifters. Can i ask why?

The retainers are there in the 2nd to last pic. The last one is probably before he put them in. You definitely want them installed.

In the last picture the motor only had the heads on and was not fully assembled yet. Neither the lifter retainers (dog bones) nor the sheet metal dog bone retainers were installed yet.
