Well got the motor pulled today, a HUGE thanks to Les and Kirk for all the help. This is the second time Les has travelled 1 1/2 hours+ to my house to help me pull a motor, I owe you BIG TIME Les!

Now time for a few pics.

Here is the directory for all the pics, there are a lot but I'll post the good ones!

Car was jacked so high off the ground Les and I had problems working on the car, Kirk my 6ft5 giant had no problesm with it so high.

Kirk trying to catch a few zzzz's but we caught him and put him to work, got him to remove the driveshaft bolts while he was under there.

Not many people could find a use for a broom when pulling a motor but Kirk could, the tranny was spilling fluid out the tail shaft so he had a drain pan under there and used the broom to move the drain pan forward as the motor moved forward, smart guy!

some mice found a home on my engine while it sat for months, this was just under the TB when we pulled the blower, looks like remnants of small nuts, there was also some similar remains where the AC canister sat by the firewall.

How did that motor get there? It was in the car a minute ago?

I got a little tired after working hard all day so I took a quick nap!

Played some hide and seek afterwards, do you think they will find me?

No one would help me move the motor so I just picked it up and moved it myself!

Gotta love Les Borda!

I think we all owe Les a big thank you for all the help and support he has lended any and all of us. His dedication to the club and its members is unprecidented, and we have all benifited one way or another from his effort as both a handy and knowledgeable helper, and a good friend.

Now he is even helping the Mustang guys!!!

Nice work guys! I'm sorry I couldn't get away yesterday to give you a hand. In light of what the weather did, and the fact that I had planned on driving my SC out to Jamie's house, it's probably a good thing that I didn't come. It would have been fun getting home!

When are you planning to get that motor to Tom's for the rebuild to begin? I'm still looking to get a ride in that thing once she's running again!!!

Best regards,

Sean

I have a doctors appointment wiht my surgeon (check up) on MOnday across the street from St. Joes so after my appointment I am heading up to Tom's, my appointment is around 1:30pm so I should be at Tom's by about 3pm on Monday. :)

Gonna put the motor in the back of the Mazda monday morning with the cherrypicker, still gotta take the tranny off the motor but its almost off, the TC is unbolted already just gotta take all the bellhousing bolts off not, and thats it, gotta love theMazda Protege5 engine hauler!

Aw thanks Bill that was really nice of you to say that, I enjoy doing all that stuff an awful lot.

Sean it was a wild ride home and I KNEW i should have taken the Taurus not the Cougar. Idiot Toronto drivers, guys in the ditch along Hwy 7 and smacked against the concrete divider...stoooopid. Hey it SNOWED azz-holes guess what you can't stop on a dime or turn. Idiots I don't feel one bit sorry for them, there I am in one of the worst vehicles possible in those kinds of conditions and I'm moving right along, stopping, turning etc etc....idiots in this city I swear.

Putting the motor back in should be a brezze especially since a tubular k-member will be in place and I'll have a heck of a lot more room to bolt stuff up then. Everyone is welcome to come on down for a fun filled day of installing my motor when she is ready to go, all depends on when I get my k-member and when Tom is able to getmy motor fixed, I have all winter anyways :) I'll keep you guys posted, and hopefully get some pics of what was damaged.

My last oil change showed a lot of metal flakes in the oil, not good! I am dying to find out what was the problem.
