Hope KW isn't pissed with my take on the DIC.
More changes coming next week.

Looking real good there Paul. Very nice.
Curious what you used to connect the upper tube to the ic?

Tks Drew

Just cut 1.5" of 2.75 off the end of a pipe and had it welded on.

Lower tube is 2.5" to somewhat compensate for the denser charge. (its wrapped in 1100 degree heat shield).

Got Phase 2 of the updates finally done down in Ohio.

4" K&N to 95mm C&L to 3.5 pipe to 85mm TB.

80lb injectors complimenting a MPXs

I have to have the 10 rib SC Pulley made to get the boost in an acceptable zone.

Pics show a 8 rib cobble to have it back on the dyno.

Ohio had a lot of blue air both with the install and surprises to the setup I bought.

I haven't seen the video yet but trust me the motor was pounded pretty hard to get the tune.

Thankfully Dave (351TT) came to my rescue with a loaner stock SC Pulley to get my overdrive down to 10%.

Motor was virtually flawless at 16.5lbs of boost with no timing issues yesterday at SGP Speed up here in Newmarket.

Big Thank You to DD for floor space, tech talk and pretty much putting up with a space invader.

Nick the tuner at SGP (Corvettes-Camaro's) pretty much summarized Dave's work while I was in Ohio.

" Not sure who your tuner is but he knows his stuff. Those are some of the smoothest curves I have ever seen"

My only regret is pulling the plug at 5200 rpm.

Although watching the screen I didn't realize it had put on another 10 HP between 4900 and 5200 rpm and was still climbing.

Thanks again to all that have been part of my learning curve.

Tks Dan

I just noticed the green with the camera flash.

There was a little blood letting but all's good.

That looks and sounds great Paul, but I got hammered once for posting a trip to Daves dyno and not posting numbers so spill the beans lol.
Seriously though. Set up looks fantastick and glad it has come together for you.

We didn't get a lot out of Cleveland other than a spot on tune.

The blower came with what turned out to be a 20% pulley.

The 10 rib JS was 10% for a total of 30%.

We gave it a shot on the Monday night and the engine was over 200% loaded at 2500 rpm.

Dave also suspected a bad plug or wire.

It came down to risk blowing the motor or pulling it.

Tues morning I switched back to a 15% 8 rib setup and a new set of wires. (#5 had a burnt boot)

Back on the dyno for 3 pulls of tuning..

I'd forgot to turn on the IC fan and heat was building.

With 15% it was making 19lbs of boost and starting pilling timing at 4300 rpm. Every time in recovered it would pull it again.

At 4300 rpm it was at 315 hp.

Took another 5% out of it for Fridays pulls in Newmarket.

It was at 16.5 lbs boost at 2000 rpm and stayed there.

That leads me to believe heads and exhaust were keeping up all the way thru the pull.

HP was exactly the same as Ohio at 4300 rpm. (315)

AFR was flat lined at 11.9.

No timing issues.

Long story short... with the run pulled @ 5200 rpm and power still climbing it made...

370 @ 5200 and 400 ft lbs @ 3700 rpm:D

I was the labour. (22-24 hrs)

It was the input and 5 rounds of testing that got them working.

Just saw this today Paul, I'm glad to see that you sorted the combo out. Like the good Dr. Fred used to say, sometimes "less is more". It holds true to this day. While everyone seems to be in pursuit of maximum everything, instead making sure that your combination is well balanced is always the best policy. I'm very glad it worked out well for you in the end, I think your combo is spot on with OD/boost/intercooler/etc.

Also always nice to see the tune has been met with peer approval. :)
