Perhaps you read my post about wrecking my daily driver, a 91 MR2. If not, this is what it looked like after an Explorer turned in front of me.

I had a hard time finding a good car to replace it. I looked at the Mark 8, Lincoln LS, IS300, RX8, Eclipse GS-T, 300ZX, Mustangs, Focus SVTs, CRXs, and even another SC, but while there were models I liked, I couldn't actually find a good example of one.

Then I found this by accident.

It's a 93 hardtop, so it's rarer and has a better suspension than my red 91. It also has power steering and ABS, which that car didn't, and 47,000 fewer miles than the red one had when I bought it. Everything works, including the AC, which never worked on the red one.

It came with receipts going back to 11/93--it's the best documented car I've ever seen. It's not fast, but it should be a great daily driver.

Nice. I don't care what anyone says, ac is a must. Right?

Depends on where you live, but like it enough that I still think it's worth the weight penalty in my SC. And I've done things to remove ounces from that car, not pounds.

Car looks really nice...wish I had room in my life for a sweet two seater like that. Congrats on a beautiful replacement.

May I ask how much it set you back?
