1989 radio

Standard, Premium Sound, or JBL?

1989-1992 TBird/Cougar fit right in. Several other Fords will also fit, but some won't have a clock.

By moving a single wire on the connector, you can also use 1993-1996 Premium and JBL radios if yours is factory Premium or JBL.

What color wire. Will the other radios have the same shape plug? Mine has a Cassett. It works but the sound goes real low Please get back. God Bless.
 
The "Same shape plug" will depend on if it's baseline, or if it's premium or JBL (the two are wired differently, and have different shape plugs for the audio out)

Is yours premium sound, JBL, or baseline?

The cassette was available all three levels.

rebuild it

You can have Paul Protos rebuild it. He's done several for SCCOA members. He did two for me. I still have one in the wrapper. (1990) Costs $150 if I remember correctly. I like the original stuff.
