Dang!

My brother in law spotted a smucked red S/C at the auto wrecker behind my house. (1 counrty block away from my place). I went down to look at it and it was gone. These guys are really reasonable to deal with. They have been a friend of the family for some time.
Thats where my 91 parts car came from, and I got a very fair price on it.
I went to see the red one because I'm chasing after black interior parts and good leather seating.
These guys towed it in, it was a rollover. Before they had a chance to snap it up, another auto wrecker near here bought it up from the insurance company.
I went there today, these guys I have never liked dealing with, they are freakin expensive, and rarely do you get to go out back and look for yourself.
It's a red '95 S/C, auto. The rollover demoed every stinkin body panel on that car. Three of the four rims "look" okay. The engine compartment appears 100% intact. The odo reads 150,000km. This would be the 2nd gen blower and lower intake. The interior, whats left of it was grey leather/cloth in the middle. It still had the original battery!
The only thing good in the interior was the CD player.
The only thing good on the body, somehow survived without a scratch was the LED taillights.
The d***head behind the counter said he wanted $350.00 for the in-dash CD player and for the motor W/charger and I/C pipes, he said that he would take $2500.
I can by a new long block complete from Ford with three year warranty for that kind of money!!!!
They can keep it!

That makes two of us. This guy was telling me that a friend of his was selling a XR7 supercharger in mint shape for $300.00. The only thing wrong was that the motor was blown. So I told him I wanted it. He calls me back the next day and said its sold. That sucked because I had plans on puting a rebuilt engine in it. Owell maybe who ever got it will probly gut it.

I saw the same car today. I was offered the engine earlier at a slightly cheaper price tho. I was there earlier in the year asking about an engine for my '91. It is pretty banged up. the rims are nice shape and the rubber looked brand new. but like you said I can either rebuild my '91 engine alot cheaper or purchase a long block cheaper also. I bought a '90 sc from a guy outside of Delhi for real cheap because it didn't run. I was going to swap engines, but after a couple hours of work I got it to run and it works pretty good too. I'm thinking of selling the '90 and still fixing the '91
