Hello all, I've got a 1989 Thunderbird SC 5 speed for sale. I have too many projects for a kid, and I need it out of the driveway now. I'd much rather put the money into my 1994 SC I now own.

Here's the story on the car... it starts very hard, and runs very rough. In higher rpms the car seems to run strong. When idling the car seems to have a miss. I know this car has 100% working and good tranny and clutch. Motor seems strong, doesn't seem to be a headgasket issue. I feel it'd be a good car if that problem could be figured out.

Good about the car...
-tranny is 100%
-clutch is 100%
-interior is so/so
-wheels are mint
-everything besides engine problem seems to be sound on the car
-123k original miles
-new fuel filter
-new plugs & wires
-comes with a new oil pump and sending unit
-new coolant temp sensor and new coolant temp sender
-fresh oil change less than 5 miles ago
-new DIS module
-new BAP sensor
-comes with a few other parts not listed...

Bad about the car...
-engine running rough
-body isn't the greatest...some dents on the passenger side and has some surface rust. not holes or rot that I know of.
-needs tires
-needs a power steering pump (leaks) but works still

I'm located in Manitowoc Wisconsin 54220. If you're interested, shoot me a pm on here or else call or text at 920-860-2939 or email at jomeyer@roncallijets.net. I'm asking $1000. For what's included I don't feel it's a bad deal at all.

Thanks for looking!

I know $1000 bucks is short money but start by adding some pictures to gain interest. I'd also recommend advertising it locally.

I know you may not want to or have the time to but best way to sell these cars are to part them out. you make more money but it takes some time. I have sold a few things on here, tccoa.com and craigslist ALOT...your price seems fair and pics PICS pics. pics are always a plus. every side, top, bottom and front and rear interior shots..

Here are the pics. Let me know if anyone wants more of a certain part on the car. I don't have the time to part it out, and really want it gone. I'm considering selling my 1994 SC also. If anyone's interested I can post some info on that one too. Rust free 114k miles.

I'm looking to get $150 for the extra radio cd player and full wiring harness. These are the only things in the pics the car doesn't come with.

If someone from here bought the car, I have an extra tail lamp panel in almost mint condition (because the one on the car has a small crack) and a few other goodies for an '89 I could maybe send along if I find them.

Does it run well enough that it could make it to Sheboygan?

I would think it could make it to sheboygan, but not on the tires it has they aren't very good and are cracked. I can trailer for a small fee if needed.

If I were closer, I'd buy it. I don't think that's a bad price what so ever.

Thanks Dave. I payed $800 for it. I have over $400 in it. I want it gone...way too many projects. Gonna lose a lot of money but it's gotta go. Time for an SN-95 project.

I'm very interested. Just need to fine a transport cheaper than the $1800 quote I got. Seems you might live on the edge of the planet. Will be in touch.

Uship.com is your friend here. I got several quotes in the $5-800 range to ship a Taurus Sho from that area to my home near Nashville. Manitowoc is right off Interstate 43. Being on the interstate lowers the cost. Therefore depending on where you are shipping too may be the issue with your high quote. Look at a drop closer to the interstate and a different way to get the car the rest of the way home.

Car is sold! Went to someone in Michigan. He was planning on using the drivetrain for his 5.0 thunderbird sport.
