What are you talking about - which engine? All early birds had a mass recall for blowing head gaskets. The company in Texas that did the rebuilding for Ford for the recall is the company this rebuilt engine was purchased from.

Sorry for not replying to posts but we are not receiving e-mail notifications and have not been checking the site as we should.
If I may be blunt, sincere and honest about this car. The price is firm, the car is worth more than I am asking, there is over $15,000.00 invested in this car. And no I donít feel I have a gold mine here. To the Florida party I will not pay for your shipping, I will not part the car out nor reply to such inquires or low ball offers. Check out Hemmings to find examples of very low mileage SCís going for $10,000.00. These will become more sought after by collectors as time goes by.
These cars are becoming rare, just imagine how many have been crushed and how many people that have owned them let them go to salvage yards for a few hundred dollars tax credit and didnít really know what know what that SC was! Do you know that the SC was the 1989 Motor Trend Car of the Year? Ford did a poor job of marketing these cars, they also didnít want it to outperform the Mustang GT hence the restrictive exhaust, Mazda 5 speed truck transmission & such and stopping the SVC version at the end of the SCís early demise.
You can think Iím ah a-hole or whatever but I do love this car, and I want to see it go to someone who has the same feelings. I t has been a daily driver since I purchased it from the original ownerís brother in 1999. Itís a California car with no accidents, original paint and good clear coat. The leather front seats are detreated and have vinyl covers, the dash has some cracks and has a carpet dash cover, the rear seat is in good condition and has the fold down feature I have done most of the work on the car myself with the help of my Ford mechanic friend doing the major things. I am now 70 years old with a bad back which prevents me from doing much of the work I was able to do in past years. The car has been put on Non Op status with the DMV and has been garaged for the last 4 years, with monthly runs around the block and Sta-Bil in the gas tank.
The engine is a rebuilt long block from the Ford authorized rebuilder in Texas used by Ford for the early recalls because of failing head gaskets. The transmission has been rebuilt, new heavy duty clutch, front Tokio auto adjust struts, front suspension, transmission mounts, rear cradle and pumpkin mounts all have polyurethane bushings installed. I have all the poly bushings, shock insulators, Tokio auto adjust shocks and shock bushings to rebuild the rear suspension. Numerous salvaged parts, factory service manual, technical bulletins and technical information and even the window sticker and complete owners handbook.

There's no need to apologize. It's a nice car and your price is more then OK based off the information given.

No problem. Your price didn't say firm and I was negotiating with you in private via email. No need to be cheeky.

You don't have to remind us of half the stuff we already know. If you're trying to sell a car, you also may want to check your email more than once a year.

Good luck with your sale. It's a nice car. If it wasn't on the other side of the country and you checked your email more than once a year, i'd probably have bought it.

ALL PARTS GONE NOW.

However we do have some original parts that the new owner wasn't interested in:

Intercooler with fan
Blower top with piping
Exhaust manifolds
Radiator
Driver's seat track with motor
Exhaust pipe with cats (2 into 1)

Let us know if anyone is interested in any of these parts. Need to get them out of my garage now.
