belt size, early pulley on 95 blower?

Looking for a good thread that guides me on correct SC belt size to use to replace 95 pulley on 95 blower with early model (smaller dia) pulley on same 95 blower. Can I use same belt or need slightly shorter?

Also, link to any threads, notes, guides on pulling the SC pulley.

thanks.

And as for belt, you might also have the option of going to a larger idler pulley - might be less cost, especially if the belt you have is in otherwise good shape. I'd look at the idler pulley and belt to see which is more due for replacement, perhaps.

Off hand, if your belt is in good shape you might be able to just keep using it. Install the new SC pulley and see where the range gauge on the tensioner sits and then decide.

Is there a torque spec for the pulley nut?

I do 'snug' (single grunt) with an average length 1/2" ratchet. Remember, you have to hold onto it so it doesn't spin. And that goes for both on/off, and trust me, fighting to get a too-tight nut (and/or stuck pulley) loose is no fun. Wait until the belt is on to snug it down. And be sure the pulley lines up with the others so the belt runs straight.
