Oil pressure switch modification

Has anyone been able to modify the connector on the oil pressure switch so that it gives a nice constant reading? I know it's more of a dummy gauge then anything really accurate, but it's always been patchy on my 94 because that push-down type connector never makes decent contact and the check gauges light is annoying. Thanks!

Mine was doing the same thing. I ever so slightly crimped the connector with a pair of pliers and then popped it back on. Never had an issue since.

I think most people just replace it with a real sender and aftermarket gauge.
