Ron Dipaola and myself are collecting data to make an SCCoA "Most Powerful SCs" list, which will include seperate lists from both HP and TORQUE in ranked order. This will mirror the top 25 format of the 1/4 mile fastest list. Now, because the SCCoA is so large, Ron and I had to develop a list of rules for those who submit their results, which includes a dyno chart that will be available for viewing on this new page. I would like everyone who is currently on the SCCoO dyno hp list to have the opportunity to also be included in the new SCCoA list, but I can only add people to the new list A) with their presmission and B) if they can post or email me a copy of their dyno chart. Please also not that this list is only for 3.8L SCs.
Here are the names of those who I do not have a chart from:
-Greg Coleman
-Ryan Harris
-Kendra Doulton
-Eric Beuchin
-Les Borda
-Pat Ryan
-Scott Everingham

Bill,
I know that this is a fairly new concept, but I'm curious about the rules of this new page. When you specify your best dyno readings, must you specify best HP and best Torque from one particular pull? I ask because those of you who have seen my chart from the one time my car was strapped to the dyno will notice that my peak HP was 233.8, by my peak torque was 346.0 ft lbs and this torque reading was from a different pull than the one with peak HP. Is this legitimate? ...Or should I be saying that my best numbers are 233.8 HP and whatever the torque reading was on that same pull? I ask because this may mean that I should be updating my signature, and I would imagine that this same rule would affect others who have stated their numbers in the same way that I have.
In my case, there are three pulls on the one chart, so the highest torque number is illustrated clearly therein, but this may not be the case for all members.
Thanks,
Sean

Sean,
George and I just finished editing the final rules this afternoon. There will be seperate lists for both torque and horsepower, and they do not have to be achieved on the same chart or even on the same day. I was fortunate enough to achieve my best results on the same pull, so I keep them in my signature together. As for your signature, you can do whatever you want. Personally, I don't feel you can mix and match 1/4 mile time vs MPH on seperate runs, but with dyno results, it should be acceptable. Right now I have you down for 233.8 and 346.

You're welcome.
I have now received Steve Pathay's chart.
I cannot put ANYONE on the new list without a chart, as per the SCCoA "Most Powerful SCs" official rules.
edit- I have now received Steve Richards' chart.

My time and best run are on the same chart and my best horsepower and torque are on the same chart as I will show them to you because I dont have a scanner yet.:D

Greg,
Try and get yor chart to Les if possible. As it stands now, you will quite easily remain in the TOP 25 within the new list. I also have Ryan's chart yet to scan, who is also giving his to Les. I'll see one of you within the next few days.
-edit- I now have Mike Maroschak's chart.

Get your dyno numbers in! Read the rules page closely. We will be maintaining a second list for SC motor configurations that do not fit the "stock appearing" list and we would be happy to feature your numbers on that list!

Bill and/or George,
Any idea when we might get a look at this new list? I've noticed a few more "Server too busy" messages lately (for a long time now I've not seen that message at all), and thought that maybe you guys were busy updating the website or server to include this new page. However, as of yet I haven't seen anything beyond what's in this thread.
What's the latest???
Thanks,
Sean

Steve,
Then again, you're also working on some tweaking during the Winter that might allow you to climb up that list a little. I don't anticipate that I'll be on the list for long. I'm guessing that Bill and George are still only having peoples' charts trickle in at this point.
BTW, Bill and George, the list looks great! You guys have done a great job!
Cheers,
Sean

Ron has just updated the FAQs button from the main site to have links to the list and rules.
The recent server busy stuff tems is from being moved from our original machine at our new host to another one after some problems with the original one. It is a shared machine and it seems like our new neighbor is using more resources than the last one did. We are aware of the problem and are working with the hosting company to get a dedicated server like we were originally promised. Believe me, Ron and I hate the busy messages more than anyone else!!!
I'll post more on all this on the main site in the next few days.

George,
Thanks for the scoop on the recent issues with the server. Sometimes a brief explanation like that can go a long way! I hope you and Ron can work out a fix in the near future. It sounds like we're not getting a fair shake from the provider. Maybe you should take the owner for a ride in that beautiful SWB T-Bird of yours to spark some inspirational fire in them?! ;)
Best regards,
Sean

I think I lost my sheet! I put it somewhere so I would know where it is and now I can't find it. When I find it I'll send it in so I can have maybe a couple of days of fame;) or maybe I'll just wait for the dyno results after magnaport visits:cool:

Bill,
First of all, my last name is Boulton, not Doulton. Secondly, I don't know where my chart is at the moment. I just moved, so everything is everywhere. When I find it, I will bring it to a meeting or something, because I don't have a scanner.

Ouch! Did Bill strike a nerve?
Kendra, if you make it out to the Holiday Dinner, bring the chart with you and I'll take it and scan it at my place if you'd like. I'd love to see as many of the SCCoO members on that list as we can get!
...And for the record, I think we already cleared up the whole Doulton vs. Boulton thing before, so get with it, Bill!!! ;)
Best regards,
Sean

Sean, I'm going to be bringing my chart with me today, would scan it for me?

Bill,
Ryan dropped by today to pick up my spare inlet plenum, TB gasket, and IC tubes. He left me a copy of his dyno chart. I've scanned it for him, emailed him the electronic copies, and I'll try to post a copy of the smaller version here. Otherwise, I think Ryan will forward you a copy via email so he can be added to the list.
Best regards,
Sean
PS Thanks for bumping me down the list, Ryan!!!
