Can you reuse your existing shocks and springs? I know in its original renditions you could but it seems now you cant

As far as I know, yes. The AJE k member I have you can. Just need to make some spacers for the lower mount.

I had to make lower control arms in order for mine to work. There are several ways to do it. I went another route, but first I bought some 4130 chromoly bar stock from a materials company and it just happened to have a perfect ID for a 5/8" fine thread tap for a threaded rod end. Then it just takes welding and some more material to brace for the moment arm created on the bar from the shock and for the tabs to mount the shock. What they make for a factory type SC suspension isn't sufficient for the load placement on the LCA.

I just used what AJE made for an SC, then i braced the heck out of it with some 1"x .090" thick chromoly tubing.

You can buy thread-in ball joints with the welding cups they thread into anywhere, too. Then I made something out of the stock strut coil retainer so that some standard ole QA1 coil overs would work. I lost all of the front suspension pictures. Probably check my build thread.

Not the threaded, but an example:

Oh this guy doesnt weld lol. I guess that was one of my concerns. Strenght being you ae getting rid of the strut rod and all and then overall drive guality. They sell. I just know the early setups they sold seem to be different then whats out there now....

This is an older AJE arms and all.

All they did from then til now is put some bracing around the lower shock mount so the arm hopefully won't bend. Not sure if you can see the bend in these pics.

You need some spacers to take up the space at the lower shock mount fork. Like these 2 for each side. They may supply them now, not sure.
