Any thoughts on porting the outlet without removing the manifolds? from underneath on a lift or jack stands? pulling the manis is such a pain

Nothing wrong with doing it that way, as a matter of fact it would probably be easier since the manifold will be held in place by the motor, and there is decent access to the outlet from underneath. I did mine with a grinding stone on a die-grinder. Just make sure to wear safety glasses and a mask, since you will be creating a lot of rusty metal dust.

Suggest setting up a vac beside the work to help keep the particles and dust down and out of the manifold. Not required, but it helps.

I used a carbide cutter in the die grinder. Faster than a stone (did both in 1/2 hour) and the waste particles are larger/easier to clean up. Safety glasses are a must.
