So, one has turned up here. Clean all option except dead, dirt cheap. Too nice to part. Don't know what neglect caused the failure at this point.

Given a clean slate. What would the kind folks here do to get it back on the road? I'm leaning towards just fix the issue. Would like the parts ease and extra power of a 5.0 swap, though. Have a running 89 so in no hurry.
Thanks!

Well bought it. Won't pick it up for a couple of weeks. No doubt even if engine serious toasted still $300 worth in parts :-). Will they go on a U-Haul two wheel car hauler or a flatbed required?
Thanks!

remove the driveshaft and go u haul or a flat bed. you got to remove that driveshaft or you will tear up the transmission. best bet is a flat bed.. now I do see some rust on that left rear quarter, look hard at what is left under those body side skirts. The rockers for the most part are always a danger zone for rust...Good luck....Rich

How about rears on two wheel trailer. Get on trailer, deflate rear tires to lessen chance of beak drag, secure.
Gotta go 2.5 hours one way back to the nest.
Thanks!
